Young Bristol Activities

Training and Conference Facility

Pooles Wharf Centre also offers a unique Training and Conference facility. Situated on the edge of Bristol’s Floating Harbour in Hotwells, the building, which was originally a Smithy, has been sympathetically refurbished to retain its original features of being a working building in the docks.

The building provides a first floor room with three way views over the harbour, which includes the historic Bristol Cathedral, Brunel’s SS Great Britain, Cabot’s Matthew and Ashton Court.

The air-conditioned room is furnished to a high specification with seating for up to 14 people in boardroom style meetings and up to 30 people theatre style. Flip chart, white board, OHP, video recorder & television are available upon request. A video projector is available for an additional fee.

The Centre also provides a comprehensive range of outdoor adventure activities including Canoeing, Sailing, Mountain-Biking, Caving and Climbing. These activities are provided for local young people but can be available for other groups either for personal development courses or social events. Please enquire for further details.
